My Preview Of The Lego Boost Creative Toolbox17101

Lego Boost Creative Kit 17101 Review

In this post, I will give you my honest preview of the Lego Boost Creative Kit 17101

I will let you know what I think of the
  • Quality,
  • Whether it provides value for money
  • The equipment you will need to use it effectively

I was lucky enough to attend a coding workshop recently and the facilitator introduced us to this amazing and creative building/coding kit for kids!

There are so many layers to this to this wonderful kit and I will share my experience with it so you can decide if it is right for you and your family.

Spoiler Alert: This product is going on my Christmas list (but don't tell my youngest!)

First impressions?

It has the level of quality you have come to expect from a Lego product. This is very reassuring as this kit is an investment and quality matters, I know!

The projects are set out in achievable sections so the builder has lots of little wins and rewards along the way which stop it being too overwhelming for your 7-12yrs builder.

As we explored we found the instructions to be clear and easy to follow (despite many attending being new to the create and code world).

So what do you get for your investment?

The kit comes with 5 main projects for you to create, code and explore:

Does it say something about me that the "Vernie" robot was my favorite because it...passes gas!
However, he also does a lot of other far more exciting things for the more refined coder.

There is also a full-blown musical instrument you can build in the form of Guitar 4000 with pitch bend and sound effects.
